Good Woman and Good Man events
The Good Woman and Good Man competitions have been a unique and very popular part of the Northern Games from the beginning. Competitors display skills in sewing, cooking, preparing food and skins - all the things necessary to survive on the land. These events are primarily timed and the winners are the participants that are able to complete the tasks in the fastest time.
Some of the events that are included in the Good Woman and Good Man competitions include:
- Goose plucking
- Tea boiling
- Bannock making
- Seal skinning
- Fish cutting
- Sewing competition
